Sean Voisen, Founding Partner and Renaissance Man

Sean Voisen is a writer, speaker, philosopher, student of life and unabashed modern Renaissance man with a mission to help others move beyond their self-imposed limiting mental models through the process of constantly questioning assumptions, cultivating clarity of mind and learning how to unlearn.
Diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia at the age of twenty-one, Sean draws from his daily experiences of facing his own mortality to inspire others to “live in the wonder of the moment” each and every day and to reach beyond what they previously thought was possible. In many ways, he lives his own message. Since his diagnosis, Sean has completed four 100-mile “century” bicycle rides and a marathon as fundraisers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, all while still undergoing cancer treatment. A student and a scholar of philosophy and Eastern wisdom — with emphasis on Taoism and Zen — Sean is a firm believer in the power of meditation, and an active practitioner in both the Zen tradition and the Japanese martial art of Aikido.
Sean’s Role at the Cooperative
As resident Renaissance man, Sean wears many hats, though he primarily works as a speaker, author, lead consultant and researcher/developer of all our publications, products and workshops. Sean ensures that The Voisen Cooperative’s communications, whether verbal or written, are accurate, clear and well-articulated, and that we’re always discovering new and innovative ways to fulfill our mission of creating a world of unlimited possibilities.
As a former technology entrepreneur and computer programmer, Sean’s particular passion has always been solving tough and complex problems. He brings this passion to everything he does at The Voisen Cooperative — from consulting, to facilitating workshops, to developing new products — in order to help our client organizations get past their toughest obstacles in unique and effective ways.
Sean’s consulting, keynotes, and writing all address The Voisen Cooperative’s one guiding philosophy on the way in which we choose to view the world: “You don’t have to believe everything you think.”
