The Situation
The owners of a local agricultural products packing and distribution firm built their company together through over 20 years of hard work. Although they had achieved a certain level of success, things were starting to seem a little stuck — improvement and growth was at a near standstill.

The firm’s owners realized that they had not fully provided for the development of leaders to step up and eventually take over. In short, when the time came for these guys to hit the golf course on a full-time basis, who would carry the company forward?
Our Approach
At their request, we provided them with leadership assessment services, then we proposed a customized leadership development and training program for their handpicked team of employees who showed the most promise.
However, we realized that before they could get past their current plateau of development, they needed to have a much clearer picture of where they were going. So, prior to launching the customized leadership program, we facilitated a resoundingly successful strategic visioning session with their key people.
The Results
Now, instead of “rote” day-to-day business as usual, people are working together to accomplish specific initiatives designed around their most important strategic goals.
Their new action plan initiatives will carry them to an objective that is about $2.5 million per year greater than where they previously thought they could go. In the end, the owners agreed that our program was “worth any price.”
